Elixiir Foods Raises $9M to Build India’s Tech-Driven Grocery Revolution

Delhi NCR-based omnichannel grocery startup Elixiir Foods has raised $9 million in a seed funding round led by 3one4 Capital, with participation from Incubate Fund Asia.

Founded by FMCG veterans Arvind Mediratta and Ambuj Narayan, Elixiir Foods is building a technology-driven grocery platform aimed at urban India, combining farm-to-table sourcing with a private-label model and a centralized supply chain infrastructure.

A Technology-First Approach to Groceries

Elixiir Foods integrates farm-led sourcing, private labels, and a central wholesale platform to provide fresh and healthy groceries at scale. The startup is positioning itself as an “affordable premium” destination, offering:

  • Fresh produce
  • Dairy, meat, poultry, and seafood
  • Daily essentials
  • Flours, rice, spices, and grains
  • Condiments, snacks, beverages
  • Ready-to-eat and frozen foods

By leveraging technology, the company aims to ensure quality, traceability, and convenience for customers.

Meeting Urban India’s Evolving Food Preferences

According to co-founder Arvind Mediratta, Indian consumers are increasingly seeking healthier and gourmet food options, not just basic staples.

“India is no longer looking only for basics. It wants healthier food choices along with authentic gourmet cuisines: not just from different regions of India, but from around the world,” Mediratta said.

Elixiir Foods is being built as a tech-native platform, focusing on fresh, healthy, and gourmet foods that appeal to urban consumers with rising disposable incomes.

Seed Funding to Drive Expansion

The $9 million seed round will help Elixiir Foods scale operations, expand its product portfolio, and strengthen its supply chain network. With backing from 3one4 Capital and Incubate Fund Asia, the startup plans to:

  • Enhance its tech infrastructure for smoother ordering and delivery
  • Expand sourcing partnerships with farms and suppliers
  • Launch new product categories to meet growing demand for quality groceries

This funding positions Elixiir Foods to compete effectively with established grocery chains and emerging online grocery platforms in India’s competitive market.

Founders With FMCG Expertise

Both founders bring decades of experience in the FMCG sector:

  • Arvind Mediratta has extensive experience in supply chain management and grocery retail.
  • Ambuj Narayan has a strong background in operations and technology-driven business models.

Their combined expertise is central to Elixiir Foods’ strategy of blending technology with quality sourcing, creating a seamless grocery experience for consumers.

The Bigger Picture: India’s Changing Grocery Landscape

Urban India is witnessing a shift toward premium, health-conscious, and convenient grocery options. Consumers increasingly value freshness, variety, and reliability.

Startups like Elixiir Foods are capitalizing on this trend by offering curated selections of fresh and gourmet foods, delivered conveniently through omnichannel platforms.

With this approach, Elixiir Foods aims to become one of India’s most trusted platforms for urban grocery shopping.

Looking Ahead

With strong funding, experienced leadership, and a tech-first approach, Elixiir Foods is poised to scale rapidly in urban India.

The company plans to expand its reach, grow its product catalog, and solidify its position as a premium yet affordable grocery destination, helping consumers access fresh, healthy, and gourmet foods at their fingertips.
